     I have always enjoyed working with wood–creating, carving, shaping, building, etc.  Several years ago, one of our art shows included a superbly accomplished pyrographer (drawing with fire or woodburning)–a craft I had not tried since I was a young boy.  His work was exceptional and sparked in me an entirely new avenue of possibilities.  Needless to say, techniques, equipment and results are vastly different from my childhood attempts.

It’s a refreshing addition to my matting and framing business.  I am having a great tme designing, burning and seeing folks’ appreciation of my work.  I am also interested to see where pyrography will lead me in my journey with wood.

New This Year!!!   Jewelry with hand torched beads.  I have a variety of new jewelry designs incorporating hand torched beads.  

The forms and textures found in nature,  intriguing shapes and rich surfaces of her surroundings inspire Lynn Abrams to create her exquisite glass pieces.

She combines bold, simple shapes using textures and surface decorations creating tactile elements with a delicate and natural flow.

Lynn, a native of Virginia, and has been a glass artist for two decades.  She has experimented with many art mediums. She incorporates her experience in D’lynn Glass Designs.

Working with the materials is the most exciting part of the process for her.  She uses a diverse selection of glass to create one of a kind pieces, combining it with beads and wire.

She designs are abstract, using fused, tumbled and foiled glass to infuse her love of color with style and grace.
